IN the cobbled backstreets of the high mountain town of Bubion, this is truly a place to make your heart soar. Intimate and warm, the typical Alpujarran village house has been beautifully converted, conserving its old door, beams and staircase.

Almost impossible to locate, even harder to find a number for, being located at around 1300 metres above sea level it is not surprising to see a roaring fire in the hearth until the middle of April.

And this, along with the fine music (Brazilian/Flamenco/Jazz - not surprising with the owner Ramon once owning a chain of record shops) sets the mood for a wonderful evening.
