THE beach outside could not be lovelier. Completely unspoilt with rolling Atlantic breakers pounding its shore, for Southern Spain this is something of a rarity. But then again we are on the Costa de la Luz, which for the time being at least, has not been overdeveloped.

Antonio was here himself some decades ago, when the village of Zahara de los Atunes hardly had a soul coming to visit.

Then a small venta, these days it is actually rather grand, and a popular choice for millionaires and crooks from nearby Atlanterra, who included Britain's very own Kenneth Noye, before he got forcibly removed by the Bill nearby a few years ago. His son is still said to be a regular.

The place is incredibly tidy, spic and span and, to be fair, a little old fashioned, although in the nicest possible sense.
