Venta El Molino

YOU gaze across to Gibraltar and Africa and the beautiful Alcornocales national park. And if that isn't enough you sit in a charming converted farmhouse, conveniently placed next to the main road up to Casares and on to Gaucin.

Called Venta Molino because of the huge wind turbines that have recently gone up near by, you are just five minutes from Casares town centre. One of the most attractive of the white towns of Andalucia, the venta is anything but out of place.

Tastefully built beside the main road using old beams and natural materials, the furniture is simply painted and the tablecloths pretty. Music is a mix of US creole and local Flamenco and diners a mix of locals and holidaymakers. Log burning stoves and open fires are a nice addition for the winter and the food is well up to scratch.
